Joblet Apply Assist support
Help with connecting, scanning, and filling.
Joblet Apply Assist is intentionally cautious. Start with the short workflow below, then check the common issues if something was skipped.
Start here
- 1. Connect
Open Joblet Apply Assist from the Chrome toolbar, choose Connect Joblet profile, sign in, and approve the listed profile categories.
- 2. Add a PDF if wanted
Use the PDF imported with your approved Joblet profile, or select and keep a different PDF resume in the extension. Local changes do not sync back to Joblet.
- 3. Scan, fill, and review
Open the application’s main form and choose Scan and fill active page. For an embedded Ashby application, open Apply for this Job first and approve the exact optional Ashby access if prompted. Check every result, complete skipped questions manually, and submit the application yourself.
Already installed? Begin from the extension’s toolbar popup, not by opening the connection URL directly, so Chrome can create the one-use request.
Common issues
The connection page says the request is missing or expired.
Start again from Connect Joblet profile inside the Joblet Apply Assist toolbar popup. The one-use connection is tied to the tab that opened it and remains valid for at most ten minutes; it can clear sooner if Chrome or Joblet Apply Assist restarts. Use a Joblet account with a verified email and a usable name and email in its profile.
I want Joblet Apply Assist to remove my saved profile.
Choose Disconnect in the Joblet Apply Assist toolbar popup. That removes the saved profile and PDF resume from this Chrome profile on this device. You can also remove or replace the PDF separately. Uninstalling Joblet Apply Assist or clearing its extension data removes both; clearing ordinary browsing history or cache does not.
A field was not recognized or was left unchanged.
Scan recognizes and fills only supported, high-confidence fields in the top-frame application form or an explicitly allowed Ashby application frame. A field being marked required does not make it eligible by itself. The operation leaves alone fields that already contain a value, fields whose context changes, values missing from your connected profile, values that exceed the field limit, and selects without an exact option. A tightly paired phone selector and empty number input are filled together only when the exact country-code option is available; otherwise both stay unchanged. Complete skipped fields manually.
Scan does not run on this page.
Chrome blocks extensions on internal browser pages, the Chrome Web Store itself, and some protected documents. For an embedded Ashby application, first open Apply for this Job inside the page. On the first scan Joblet Apply Assist will explain that Ashby access is needed; choose Allow Ashby form access and approve Chrome’s exact jobs.ashbyhq.com prompt. Other restricted cross-site frames may still need manual entry.
I updated my profile in Joblet.
Joblet Apply Assist uses the approved profile copy from your most recent connection. Choose Refresh from Joblet in the toolbar popup to review and import an updated copy after changing your Joblet profile. Changes made only inside Joblet Apply Assist do not sync back to Joblet.
How does resume storage and filling work?
You can select a PDF of up to 10 MiB in the Joblet Apply Assist popup. Joblet may also provide your primary PDF during an explicitly approved connection. The file stays in extension-local browser storage and does not sync back to Joblet. On Scan, Joblet Apply Assist can assign it only to an empty, confidently recognized resume or CV input. The employer site may upload it immediately when it receives the file change event, even before you manually submit the application.
Fields Joblet Apply Assist intentionally leaves alone
Joblet Apply Assist does not fill generic uploads, cover letters, salary, work authorization, sponsorship, demographic, disability, veteran, consent, signature, screening, password, payment, reference, or emergency-contact fields. A validated saved PDF can go only to an empty, explicitly recognized resume/CV input. Joblet Apply Assist also preserves any value or file already on the page.
Chrome Web Store availability
Joblet Apply Assist is prepared for Chrome Web Store review but is not yet published. A verified installation link will be added to the Joblet Apply Assist home page after approval. Avoid installing copies from an unverified source.
