About the Role
Tax Assistant
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Assistant to support our tax department in preparing and filing accurate tax returns. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in filing taxes, and a desire to grow within the field of taxation and accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in preparing and filing individual and corporate tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Organize and maintain tax-related documents and records.
Conduct preliminary reviews of financial statements and identify tax-saving opportunities.
Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information and clarify tax-related inquiries.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Provide support during audits and other financial reviews.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of all tax-related tasks.
