Part-Time Water Sample Collector
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Phigenics provides independent expert guidance and advanced technologies to our clients to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and overall safety of water systems. Our clients include a diverse mix of industry leaders inhealthcare, hospitality, government, higher education, retail, and manufacturing facilities. Phigenics does not sell water treatment chemicals and is not biased toward any treatment technology or supplier.
Phigenics is seeking a candidate with a flexible schedule interested in working 40-80 hours per month on average, during normal business hours in the Pittsburgh, PA metro area and beyond. We will train the right person to take on-site readings via a testing instrument (i.e. chlorine, temperature, and pH readings) and collect building water samples to be sent to a lab for cultures. Travel within a 250-mile radius is expected. 2-3 overnight travel nights per month are expected. An employer-matched 401K plan is offered, and mileage reimbursement is available!
The position requires self-motivation and the capacity to work independently. Must have excellent communication abilities and basic computer skills. The job often requires a great deal of walking around client sites, may include climbing stairs or ladders, and may require lifting up to 25 pounds. Once fully trained, the employee may be expected to mentor or train peers to ensure consistent knowledge sharing and team development.
High School Diploma or GED required. Some college courses in Chemistry or Biology are a plus.
