Analyst, Finance Ops (Purchasing)

The Analyst, Finance Ops (Purchasing) is a highly motivated individual who is responsible for providing administrative support to the Manager and/or Merchandising Department through a range of responsibilities. This role requires the ability to handle inquiries professionally and contribute to the department goals by staying up to date with operating systems and process knowledge. The Finance Ops Analyst (Purchasing) partners with management to ensure a high-performance culture while developing trusted relationships with Division leaders. Additionally, they proactively monitor workloads of the entire team to assist where needed.

Your Responsibilities on the Team

  • Accurately reconcile all Merchandising Department purchases with the Corporate Credit Department and maintain up-to-date records and reports.
  • Manage vendor invoices and work directly with Division Accounting teams for timely payment.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
  • Assist the Merchandising Teams on furniture purchasing, item reselections, and inventory tracking where needed.
  • Manage Department expense reports, travel arrangements, and budgets.
  • Support project budget finalization and prepare cost-per-square-foot calculations.
  • Attend model installations when necessary.
  • Assist Merchandising Manager on special projects as necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years' experience preferred.
  • Successfully demonstrate proficiency with all Purchasing Assistant tasks.
  • Computer literate with efficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. JD Edwards experience preferred.
  • Good written, verbal, and organization skills.
  • Professionally perform multiple, detail-oriented tasks with simultaneous deadlines.
  • Possess strong work ethic, integrity, and loyalty.
  • Be a team player with ability to work under pressure.

Physical & Office/Site Presence Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires the ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry office supplies weighing 25 pounds or less. Finger dexterity is required to operate computer keyboard, calculator and telephone equipment.
