About the Role

Sr. Finance Analyst | Acorns

Acorns is seeking an ambitious Sr. Finance Analyst to enable, inform, and improve strategic and financial decision-making across the company. This role will work directly with the VP of Accounting, Finance and Treasurer as well as teams throughout the organization, including product, engineering, marketing, legal, and operations.

Acorns is a remote-first organization, offering the flexibility to work remotely while providing optional access to office space in Irvine, CA and New York, NY.

What You Will Do At Acorns:
  • Introduce yourself to the organization and develop a deep understanding of the product, business model, and financial outlook.
  • Equip product managers and department leaders with monthly insights on business trends.
  • Support short- and long-term financial plans, assist in financial reporting and KPI variance analysis, and help drive key strategic initiatives.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance corporate financial models, including annual budgets, forecasts, and consolidated cash flows.
  • Build KPI frameworks, analyze product line performance, and support high-impact decisions including go-to-market strategy, partnership negotiations, and potential M&A.
  • Create clear presentations to articulate findings to key stakeholders.
What You Will Bring To Acorns:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business, or another quantitative field.
  • Two or more years of relevant industry experience with financial modeling (e.g., investment banking, private equity, corporate finance).
  • Highly analytical mindset with the ability to execute complex financial modeling, analyze raw data, and draw clear conclusions.
  • High degree of organization, efficiency, and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • A team-player mindset with a desire to roll up your sleeves and be hands-on in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.

Compensation Information:

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $125,000 and $135,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
