About the Role

Job Description

As a Sr Supplier Quality Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our suppliers consistently meet Honeywell's stringent quality standards and contribute to the overall excellence of our supply chain.

You will work out of our Mason, OH location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact supplier quality performance by driving continuous improvement initiatives, conducting thorough supplier audits, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and enhance supplier capabilities.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create, manage, and close Supplier Corrective Actions Requests (8D)
  • Coordinate parts approval process (PPAP/FAIR) within assigned suppliers.
  • Evaluate (Audit) prospective supplier Quality Systems and conduct gap analysis where required
  • Prepare, monitor, and present progress and status of assigned projects or quality investigations.
  • Provide remote support to Honeywell Intelligrated's manufacturing sites to resolve supplier quality issues.
  • Develop strong partnership with suppliers regarding their commitment to Honeywell Intelligrated projects, timing, and measurement of results
  • Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Process large quantities of information and determine critical needs, to develop solutions that alleviate barriers and meet the needs of internal and external customers
  • Develop the assigned suppliers, using improvement tools (process control, error proofing, etc.) to meet Honeywell Intelligrated's specifications or requirements
  • Properly interpret and enforce all applicable purchase order requirements
  • Provide technical leadership to coordinate implementation of Six Sigma and Lean at supplier's operation

YOU MUST HAVE
  • 7 years of experience minimum with Quality Systems such as QMS (Quality Management Systems) and Core tools.
  • 7 Years of experience minimum in similar role or +10 years of experience in process/manufacturing engineering in manufacturing industry.
  • 5 years of experience minimum working in injection molding, EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Service) or ECP (Electrical Control Panel) manufacturing
  • 3 years minimum with experience auditing QMS tools
  • On Hand familiarity with RCCA, 8D, CAPA, FAI, and FMEA Tools
WE VALUE
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • ISO 9001:2015 knowledge (Lead or Internal Auditor)
  • Experience using Core Tools (PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, etc.)
  • Experience in material handling industry or electro-mechanical assembly industry (Sheet Metal, Control Panels, Assembly, Machining, Power Transmission, Injection Molding, etc.)
  • Significant experience with quality assurance processes Experience leading teams focused on problem solving and driving supplier improvements.
  • Good negotiation skills and experience in developing win-win relationships with supplier
  • High level of interpersonal skills is required to handle difficult situations as well as to diffuse interpersonal conflict effectively
  • Strong understanding of Quality engineering practices (APQP knowledge)
  • Experience using Six Sigma techniques and Green belt certification
  • Project management experience
