About the Role

Clean Harbors in Breslau, ON is currently looking for a Licensed or 3rd Year Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic (Truck and Coach Technician 310T) to join our team.

This position is responsible for maintaining / repairing heavy diesel equipment within the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
  • Complete and follow requirements of Field Level Hazard and Job Hazard assessments.
  • Perform thorough inspections of equipment and identify required repairs.
  • Perform routine and specific maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
  • Inspect and diagnose components and equipment for servicing needs.
  • Complete repair orders.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment and light and heavy duty vehicles.
  • Communicate equipment servicing needs as required with Supervisor.
  • Complete warranty information.
  • Disassemble, inspect, fit and replace worn or broken parts.
  • Carry out housekeeping duties.
  • Complete required documentation and daily samsara logs in an accurate and timely manner.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed/Journeyman or 3rd Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic (310T License).
  • 3+ years' experience working as a Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic.
  • Previous experience working with Hydraulics is an asset.
  • Previous experience working on Class 8 trucks and tankers trailers is an asset.
  • Ability to use (J Pro) diagnostic software.
  • Class G Driver's License required.
