About the Role

Integrations Specialist

VitalSource is hiring an Integrations Specialist to contribute to our Customer Operations team located in Raleigh NC, Chicago IL, Franklin TN, or Boston MA (preferred locations). Applicants outside of these preferred locations will still be considered.

TheIntegration Specialist supports the setup, testing, and maintenance of system integrations between the VitalSource platform and higher education institutions, channel partners, and distribution systems — maintaining accurate records of customer needs, conversations, and outstanding items throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sets up, tests, and maintains integrations aligned to customer needs and requirements.
  • Supports internal segment teams with integration discussions, design, troubleshooting, and escalations as needed.
  • Provides Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback through appropriate channels to VitalSource product and engineering for continuous improvement; escalates issues to appropriate internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Supports integrations including but not limited to Learning Management Systems (Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace/D2L, Moodle), digital textbook distribution, ecommerce platforms, and physical book distribution platforms.
  • Maintains knowledge of core software offerings, including the APIs and systems essential for seamless platform communications.
  • Communicates the company's current software features, upcoming features, and known issues to customers and stakeholders.
  • Creates and manages customer-facing project plans at the outset of each onboarding process
  • Provides enhanced support during peak periods.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of customer management experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system or database.

Preferred Skills:

  • Intermediate Excel skills, including data manipulation, formulas, and pivot tables.
  • Experience with New Relic Insights or basic knowledge of SQL.
  • Understanding of technical concepts in a software or SaaS environment.
  • Experience organizing and prioritizing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Jira, APIs, Postman, Metabase, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Confluence, or Slack.
