About the Role

Senior Director Of Project Management & Launch Excellence

Stratis is a Market Access Strategy consultancy uniquely capable in data, insights, and pull-through tactics across the Market Access spectrum, which includes strategic and execution support specifically in Field Reimbursement andthe intersection of Patient Support and Field Reimbursement.

Stratis Group offers a unique opportunity to advance or shift your career within the pharmaceutical commercialization & launch excellence space. At Stratis, team members are constantly challenged to build upon their existing knowledge and experience to grow their overall understanding of how the world works in a cross-functional way. Frankly, we've found that everyone is happier when they're learning new skills & facing new challenges.

Our teams are focused on helping Life Sciences organizations (from bio-technology firms to global big pharma) make strategic and operational decisions to elevate Market Access - specifically, improving patient access and the overall patient and healthcare provider experience, driving new growth, optimizing and innovating patient services design and program execution to enable competitive advantage. Stratis' services and solutions provide actionable insights that enable our clients to formulate near- and long-term strategies to address their critical issues and provide a clear path for implementation.

We are seeking a Senior Director of Project Management & Launch Excellence to lead and execute highly complex client projects, while establishing best-in-class project management infrastructure across the organization. This role is critical to ensuring successful delivery of patient-centric programs spanning product launches, vendor transitions, platform migrations, and innovative therapies —including rare disease, specialty, and cell & gene therapy.

This individual will serve as both a hands-on delivery leader and a strategic capability builder, partnering with clients and internal leadership to drive operational excellence, consistency, and scalability across engagements.

This role will be instrumental in shaping how Stratis delivers complex, high-stakes projects, ensuring consistent excellence for clients while building scalable infrastructure that supports continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

Client Delivery & Launch Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end project management for complex, multi-workstream engagements, including:
    • Commercial and patient support program (PSP) launches
    • Transitions across vendors, platforms, or service models
    • Multi-brand or multi-program (example: hub, copay, pharmacy) or multi-vendor portfolios
    • Rare disease and cell & gene therapy initiatives requiring high-touch coordination
  • Apply structured launch excellence methodologies (project plans, communication plans, risk mitigation plans, governance plans, etc.) to ensure readiness across workstreams (patient services, data/analytics, technology, and operations)
  • Serve as a senior client-facing leader, providing strategic guidance, project oversight, project plan to actual execution / delivery measurement, and communication for senior leaders to facilitate risk mitigation, and proactive issue resolution
  • Manage cross-functional stakeholders including pharmaceutical clients, vendors, internal SMEs, and executive sponsors
  • Ensure alignment with compliance, regulatory, and patient privacy requirements across all programs

PMO Development & Operational Excellence

  • Establish and scale a centralized Project Management Office (PMO) within Stratis Group
  • Design and implement standardized frameworks and templates, including:
    • Integrated project plans and milestone-driven timelines
    • Governance structures and decision-making frameworks
    • Risk, issue, and dependency tracking tools
    • Status reporting and executive communication templates
  • Drive adoption of consistent project delivery standards across all client engagements
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, predictability, and quality of delivery through repeatable methodologies and tools, reconcile actual efforts to plan to inform future plans as well as optimize actual delivery.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Mentor and develop Senior / Junior Engagement Managers and Project Managers, strengthening their ability to:
    • Manage complex, cross-functional projects
    • Apply structured PM methodologies
    • Navigate ambiguity and competing priorities
  • Provide coaching on stakeholder management, executive communication, and delivery excellence
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within project teams

Cross-Functional Integration

  • Partner closely with leadership across Patient Services, Data Science & Analytics, Technology, and Strategy to ensure seamless delivery
  • Translate client objectives into actionable project plans that integrate operational and analytical workstreams
  • Support proposal development and solution design for new business opportunities involving complex delivery models

Qualifications

  • 20 years of experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical consulting, with hands-on expertise in project management and program delivery
  • Demonstrated success leading complex client delivery projects, including product launches, transitions, or large-scale transformations
  • Deep understanding of Market Access, including patient support programs, HUB services, and access/reimbursement models
  • Experience in rare disease, specialty pharma, or cell & gene therapy strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to build and operationalize PMO functions or enterprise project frameworks
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior client executives
  • Strong knowledge of compliance, regulatory, and privacy considerations in pharmaceutical services
  • Expertise in project management tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet or the like) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, hybrid models)
  • Experience with leading and mentoring junior team members on PMO best practices.

Success Profile

The ideal candidate is:

  • A player-coach who thrives balancing hands-on delivery with strategic capability building
  • Highly structured, with a passion for bringing order to complexity
  • A trusted advisor who can navigate ambiguity and drive alignment across diverse stakeholders
  • Deeply committed to patient-centric outcomes and operational excellence
