About the Role

MSB School Services

At MSB, supporting educational institutions isn't just what we do — it's why we exist. As a Texas-based organization, we partner with school districts to simplify Medicaid management and compliance through expert guidance and innovative technology.

For more than 20 years, we've helped educators and administrators navigate complex Medicaid documentation requirements, strengthen reimbursement processes, and remain audit-ready with confidence. By combining hands-on consulting with our proprietary X Logs software, we equip districts with the tools and expertise they need to operate efficiently and compliantly.

Our mission is to empower schools through innovative Medicaid solutions that drive operational excellence and sustainable compliance. We take a collaborative approach, blending advanced technology with deep expertise in Medicaid and Special Education.

Guided by our core values of integrity, efficiency, and service excellence, we work alongside our partners to simplify Medicaid management — allowing schools to maximize resources and focus on what matters most: supporting students and strengthening their communities.

Position Overview

The primary responsibility of this position is to increase the number of school districts contracting with MSB as their SHARS vendor. As a Sales Representative at MSB, you will identify and engage school district leaders to introduce our Medicaid financial services. This is a hunter role. You will build your own pipeline, develop relationships with superintendents, CFOs, special education directors, and Medicaid specialists, and close new business. This role reports to the Vice President of Sales.

Work Location: Remote, Texas-based, with face-to-face interaction with clients.

Work Hours/Status: Full Time; Exempt

Travel Requirements: Up to 75% travel requirement for client visits and internal company meetings

Compensation: Starting at $75,000 Base + Commission

HR/Employee Benefits:

  • MSB School Services covers 100% of the premium for two employee-only medical plan options, as well as 100% of employee-only dental and vision coverage.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Telemedicine
  • 10+ paid holidays per year
  • Unlimited Paid Time Off
  • Life & Disability insurance
  • 401K, 3% Employer Match

Your Impact and Duties

SALES: Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract execution

  • Maintain expert knowledge of MSB's solutions
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities with school districts through outbound outreach, networking and referrals.
  • Consult with prospective clients at client lunches, trade shows, regional luncheons and districts
  • Present proposal presentation to stakeholders
  • Conduct district financial and operational assessments and viability studies
  • Generate leads, maintain pipeline momentum, close contracts
  • Documentation of sales interactions and district information within CRM software (Pipedrive) within 24 hours of interaction (< 10% district inactivity); update deal close dates weekly
  • Follow up to ensure new clients are successfully onboarded and supported through implementation
  • Meet established sales KPIs and support retention objectives
  • Create and maintain relationships with non-clients to give them convenient access to our services for future opportunities
  • Cast vision to districts the importance of our premiere consultative services
  • Provide demonstrations on how to use X Logs
  • Drop in on non client and client districts to provide consultation, resources, and Medicaid guidance
  • Create proposals in response to RFPs from school districts
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Proven track record in B2B or B2G?G sales with a history of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Familiarity with how school districts make purchasing decisions, including board approval processes.
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid reimbursement as it relates to schools.
  • Experience working with superintendents, CFOs, special education directors or other district-level decision makers.

Skills:
