About the Role
Junior Loan Processor
The Junior Loan Processor supports the Portland, OR office at CrossCountry Mortgage. The Junior Loan Processor is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of mortgage disclosures while supporting loan processing activities and maintaining compliancewith applicable federal, state, investor, and agency requirements. This role contributes to the efficient progression of loans through the pipeline by coordinating with internal teams and external partners. The Junior Loan Processor works closely with borrowers, loan originators, and processors to ensure loans move efficiently through the pipeline while delivering exceptional customer service.
This position operates within Pacific Standard Time Zone working hours to support the West Coast region.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare and deliver Initial and Changed Circumstance Disclosures in compliance with TRID requirements, fee tolerances, and investor guidelines.
Review loan applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with mortgage lending regulations.
Maintain compliance with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, USDA, HUD, RESPA, TILA, HMDA, Regulation B, Regulation Z, and other applicable mortgage regulations.
Communicate directly with Loan Originators, borrowers, processors, and third-party vendors to obtain required documentation and resolve outstanding items.
Coordinate and manage third-party orders, including title orders and commitments, property surveys, verifications of employment, flood certifications, homeowner's insurance binders, credit supplements, and payoff requests.
Verify vendor orders are complete, and invoices are received and uploaded to the loan file.
Monitor pipeline workflow queues and ensure all turn-time requirements are met.
Assist with loan setup and processing support functions to help maintain efficient workflow throughout the loan lifecycle.
Review and accurately calculate simple income.
Qualifications and Skills:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
2+ years of residential mortgage experience preferred.
Experience with mortgage disclosures and compliance with TRID, RESPA, TILA, HMDA, Regulation B, and Regulation Z.
Experience with Encompass.
Experience with DU/LP findings and agency guidelines, preferred.
Understanding of mortgage loan documents and processing workflows.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Excellent prioritization and time management skills, managing a high-volume pipeline.
Skilled at working independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Windows-based systems.
