ABOUT THE ROLE
The Terminal Maintenance Repairman safely ensures and uninterrupted and smooth flow of cement to the customer. This is accomplished by properly maintaining terminal equipment and accurately repairing broken
equipment. This position may have occasional weekend and night work to unload vessels when they arrive in port or to perform maintenance that cannot be completed during normal business hours.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Maintain grounds, offices, warehouse, yard, etc.
  • Carry out tasks related to loading/unloading material, both bulk and bagged, for rail, waterway, and road methods of transportation, as appropriate for the specific location.
  • Understand and operate truck loading equipment.
  • Operate and conduct general maintenance on mobile equipment and assist with general mechanical maintenance.
  • Sample product from trucks and barges following company policies.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records on all terminal equipment.
  • Perform detailed maintenance and repairs on terminal equipment, buildings, and grounds.
  • Perform thorough preventive / predictive maintenance on all terminal equipment
  • Quickly and accurately repair any equipment that breaks down
  • Load each truck without spillage and in a timely manner: complete each load to the customer's specifications within legal limits
  • Perform clerical functions following the established guidelines for the recording of receipts, shipments and inventory records
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education:High school diploma or equivalent
Required Work Experience: 1-3 years maintenance / Terminal experience
Required Computer and Software Skills: Basc knowledge about computers, Microsoft Office and SAP
Additional Requirements:
  • Experience with customer service and equipment operation and maintenance. A good understanding of the basics of the cement manufacturing process or logistics is preferred. Demonstrates technical skills in Welding , Machine repair, and Basic Electricity
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved
    Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
