About the Role

Patient Recruitment Associate II

ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation united by a mission to bring new medicines and treatments to patients faster.

As a values-driven organisation, integrity, collaboration, agility, and inclusion are at the heart of how we work and interact with each other, customers, patients and suppliers.

As a Patient Recruitment Associate II at ICON, you will take a more independent role in planning, coordinating, and optimise patient recruitment and retention activities for clinical trials. You will collaborate with study teams, sites, and vendors to help ensure enrolment targets are achieved.

What You Will Do:

You will take responsibility for patient recruitment and engagement deliverables, applying your skills to ensure quality and efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the execution of patient recruitment and retention plans, including site and patient-facing tactics tailored to study needs.
  • Working closely with sites to understand local challenges, recommend solutions, and support implementation of recruitment initiatives.
  • Monitoring recruitment performance and metrics, preparing regular status reports, and highlighting risks or opportunities to study teams.
  • Supporting the development, review, and localisation of recruitment materials in collaboration with internal stakeholders and vendors.
  • Contributing to feasibility and planning discussions by providing insights from recruitment data and prior experience.
  • Helping to refine recruitment processes, tools, and best practices, and providing guidance to more junior colleagues where appropriate.

Your Profile:

You will bring relevant patient recruitment and engagement experience, along with the following qualifications and skills. Required qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant experience in patient recruitment, clinical research, patient services, or healthcare marketing.
  • Good understanding of clinical trial recruitment drivers, site operations, and patient engagement considerations.
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills, with experience working with recruitment data, trackers, and reports.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple studies or initiatives in a fast-paced environment, with a commitment to quality and patient-centricity.

Employment with ICON is contingent upon having the legal right to work in the country where the role is based.

ICON offers a competitive and comprehensive total rewards package designed to support your health, wellbeing, and career development.

Benefits may include:

  • Competitive base salary and performance related incentives
  • Health and wellbeing programmes including medical, dental, and vision coverage where applicable
  • Retirement and pension plans
  • Life assurance and disability coverage
  • Employee assistance programmes and wellbeing resources
  • Learning and development opportunities through structured training and career pathways

Benefits may vary depending on role and location.

ICON is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building an inclusive and accessible workplace where everyone feels valued and supported.
