The Tax Manager will support the company's tax function with a primary focus on the UK and EMEA region, overseeing day-to-day tax compliance, reporting, and provision activities across multiple jurisdictions. This role is responsible for managing UK corporate tax obligations, coordinating EMEA statutory filings, and ensuring accurate alignment between tax and accounting under local GAAP and IFRS.
Working closely with the Senior Tax Manager and broader Finance team, the Tax Manager provides hands-on technical tax support across EMEA, assists with local audits and tax authority inquiries, and contributes to regional tax planning initiatives. This role plays a key part in building scalable, compliant tax processes as the company continues to grow internationally.
Responsibilities
Manage and execute UK and EMEA tax compliance and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate filings across multiple jurisdictions
Oversee direct and indirect taxes across the region, including UK corporate income tax, PAYE, withholding taxes, VAT, and other EMEA-specific levies.
Coordinate preparation and review of local tax returns, statutory accounts, and tax calculations, working closely with external advisors where required.
Support the income tax provision process for UK and EMEA entities, including data collection, analysis, and reconciliation under IFRS (IAS 12).
Act as a key point of contact for EMEA tax audits, inspections, and inquiries, liaising with local tax authorities and external advisors.
Monitor and interpret changes in UK and EMEA tax legislation, assessing impact and proactively advising the business on risks and opportunities.
Support transfer pricing and intercompany matters across EMEA, including documentation and alignment with group tax policy.
Partner with Finance, Legal, People, and Operations teams to provide practical tax guidance on regional business activities and cross-border transactions.
Help standardize and improve tax processes, controls, and documentation across EMEA to support scale and compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; tax focus preferred.
ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
4–6 years of progressive experience in UK and/or EMEA corporate tax, in public accounting, industry, or a combination of both.
Strong experience with UK corporate tax and VAT; broader EMEA exposure highly desirable.
Working knowledge of IFRS / IAS 12; US GAAP exposure a plus.
Familiarity with tax audits, transfer pricing concepts, and intercompany structures in a multinational environment.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple jurisdictions and deadlines.
Ability to communicate tax concepts clearly to non-tax stakeholders.
Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with ERP and tax compliance tools is a plus.
Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
Collaborative, proactive team player comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, international environment.
