NTT DATA Services currently seeks a AWS Technical Architect Engineer to join our team in Durham, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).
The individual in this role will be responsible for the following: • AWS Engineer should have hands-on solid experience in DevOps patterns to develop, deploy, and maintain applications on the AWS platform. • Design and implement an infrastructure on AWS that supports one or more DevOps development projects and create standards for Cloud Operations and infrastructure deployment. • Define and deploy Operation and Security controls.
Designs and implements automation to remediate infrastructure deviances from controls. • Coordinates across support teams to quickly resolve disruptions to technology services performs root cause analysis and takes preventative measures • Reviews planned changes for alignment to target state and for adherence to policies before being implemented into the technology environment • Assimilate and leverage the AWS shared security responsibility model and also able to implement and manage the Security patches required. • Work with the enterprise security team in platform scans and ensure platform passes the security certifications /scanning • Architect and build AWS application infrastructures that are protected against the most common security threats • Protect data at rest and in transit with encryption • Apply security checks and analyses in an automated and reproducible manner • Configure authentication for resources and applications in the AWS Cloud • Gain insight into events by capturing, monitoring, processing, and analyzing logs • Implement several common continuous deployment (CD) use cases using AWS technologies and others, including blue/green deployment and A/B testing • Leverage automated testing in different stages of a CI/CD pipeline • Fine-tune the applications you deliver on AWS for high performance, and use tools and technologies to monitor the application and environment for potential issues • Configuration management using CloudFormation, Chef & Puppet is a must • Has used security groups, network ACL s, internet gateways and route tables to ensure a secure zone for the organization in AWS public cloud • Work with the architecture team to understand the application design and development, testing, and deployment • Work closely with development teams and ensure that they follow best practices in the areas of Security, Availability, Cost Optimization, and compliance controls. • Produce technical specifications and design for platform deployment and builds (Automation) • Participate and lead internal development and external collaboration meetings • Conduct or coordinate tests to ensure that intelligence is consistent with defined needs Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of cloud engineering experience is required. • In lieu of degree, 7 years of cloud engineering experience. • Direct experience in one or more of the following technical specialties: software development, cloud deployments, network, compute, storage, security and data storage. • Experience automating tasks associated with technical specialties.
Experience in one or more of the following:
• Cloud Configuration Management (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar)
• Jenkins Pipelines
• Amazon AMI lifecycle management
• Apache Ranger, AD
• Encryption like OpenPGP encryption or similar
• Key Management
• Docker Containers / Kubernetes container design and lifecycle management
