Advise on established Department of State (DOS) design criteria and specific design problems caused by various structural and blast loading conditions, worldwide, and local skill levels in various locations.
Review and revise preliminary drawings and specifications relating to structural and blast work, including design proposals suggested by the tenant agencies whose requirements impact the structural loading of buildings.
Serve as a consultant to post management regarding buildings that have been structurally damaged by fires, explosions, hurricanes, settlement problems, and other phenomena.
Plan and conduct or direct conduct of initial planning studies or analyses related to the structural and blast engineering aspects of design and construction activities that may be contracted out.
Perform scheduling and layout of operations and inspection and surveillance of materials, methods, and equipment for OBO projects.
