About the Role
Architect (CAD)
Location: Remote
We are seeking a talented and experienced Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their work for UK firms and significant experience with working drawings. This role involves developing detailed architectural designs, producing high-quality working drawings, and ensuring compliance with local and international building codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute architectural design concepts that meet client requirements and project goals.
Produce detailed working drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure design integrity and project feasibility.
Review and assess architectural work completed for UK firms to demonstrate capabilities.
Ensure designs comply with local and international building codes, regulations, and standards.
Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure designs are being implemented accurately.
Prepare and present design proposals to clients, addressing feedback and making necessary adjustments.
Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and technology advancements.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
Maintain organized records of design documents, drawings, and project correspondence.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
Proven experience as an Architect with a strong portfolio showcasing work for UK firms.
Proficiency in creating detailed working drawings and construction documents.
Strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and construction methods.
Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools.
Creative and innovative design approach with a strong sense of aesthetics.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in design documentation.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently manage projects.
Preferred Skills
Experience with 3D modeling and visualization tools (e.g., SketchUp, 3ds Max).
Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices.
Familiarity with UK building regulations and standards.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
