About the Role
AI Safety Research Engineer
The AI Safety Argumentation Platform Research Engineer will play a vital role in developing an evidentiary infrastructure to address the catastrophic risks posed by AGI and ASI. This position involves creating ontologies, knowledge graphs, and argumentation frameworks, while ensuring that persuasive, structured content is effectively communicated to various stakeholders, including policymakers and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
Extend ontologies and knowledge graph schemas representing claims and evidence.
Implement defeasible argumentation frameworks to capture logical structures.
Operate and maintain LLM-driven population pipelines with quality control.
Collaborate with researchers and communications staff for effective outputs.
Stay updated on AI safety developments and adjust frameworks as necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Familiarity with formal argumentation theory.
Experience in ontology engineering or knowledge graph development.
Operational experience with LLM agent systems.
Good coding skills and familiarity with graph databases.
Strong written communication skills.
