Financial Analyst

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Financial Analyst in Grand Prairie, TX for a contract to hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role provides financial analysis and technical writing support to engineering teams. The position includes analyzing financial data, generating purchase requests, supporting documentation needs, and working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Certification in cost accounting, financial analysis, or a related field, such as CMA or CPA
• 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, cost accounting, or a related field
• Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and cost control
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables, charts, VLOOKUP, and INDEX/MATCH
• Strong Word skills, including creating and editing technical documents, using styles and formatting, and inserting tables, images, and graphics
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, including creating presentations, using templates and themes, and inserting images, charts, and graphics
• Familiarity with Outlook, including email, calendars, tasks, and reminders
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide insights
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Information Technology and Engineering scope, including cost accounting and financial analysis
• Familiarity with purchase request generation and support processes
• Technical writing skills supporting test plans, procedures, final reports, and presentations
• Knowledge of actuals vs. plan analysis and variance reporting
• Experience with financial reporting tools and software such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, finance, and procurement teams
• Experience with contractor management and requisition processes, including Beeline contractor requisitions
• Experience working in the defense or aerospace industry

What You'll Do

• Provide financial analysis and technical writing support to engineering teams
• Analyze financial data and provide insights
• Generate purchase requests
• Assist engineering teams with documentation and technical writing tasks
• Create and maintain spreadsheets, reports, presentations, and technical documents
• Support budgeting, cost control, cost accounting, and financial reporting activities
• Identify financial discrepancies and support resolution efforts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and procurement
