Project: This is a reactor scale modeling team and this project will focus on someone who can plug the gaps of the reactor model using their newly implemented Quantemol software.
Project Details: We are seeking a skilled contractor to run Quantemol-EC software to obtain electron impact cross-sections for our chemistries (gas phase). The ideal candidate will have experience with Quantemol-EC and a strong background in computational chemistry or related fields.
Must Have Skills:
Proven experience with Quantemol-EC software (or similar software)
Strong background in computational chemistry, physics, or a related field.
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
Previous experience in the semiconductor industry plasma modeling.
Familiarity with electron impact cross-section calculations (R-matrix).
Experience with DFT/MD (Discrete functional theory/Molecular Dynamics) modeling.
Colocation with the modeling team in Austin (other areas: Fremont, Tualatin, Boston)
Day to day responsibilities:
Operate Quantemol-EC software to generate electron impact cross-sections.
Analyze and interpret the results (including literature validation wherever available) to support our modeling efforts.
Collaborate with our team to integrate findings into our projects.
Provide detailed reports and documentation of the results.
