Job Overview
The Scheduling Engineer is accountable for the effective delivery, execution, and management of the end-to-end integrated schedule development, coordination, and control process throughout the life cycle of the project(s). Serves as an owner representative to enable project teams to target competitive schedule solutions and provide critical input for the project risk management process.
Responsibilities of the Position Include, But Are Not Limited To, The Following:
- Lead implementation of early Front End Loading (FEL) scheduling plans and audit contractor execution of late-FEL and project implementation schedule plans as required to meet business and project needs
- Provides scheduling services to Chemours Project Team Leader (PTL) and Construction leadership
- Ensures appropriate schedule detail level is utilized based on project execution requirements and project phase.
- Provide business differentiated early schedule analysis in support of business investment options.
- Provide input and functional oversight for scheduling activities later in the project life cycle. Assesses, analyzes, and validates contractor-provided project schedules for quality, reasonableness, and competitiveness throughout the life cycle of the project. Monitor the health of the project scheduling processes performed by contractors and drive excellence and continuous improvement
- Ensure key metrics and benchmarks (internal and external) are in place to effectively gauge schedule performance and promote continuous improvement. Develop and maintain applicable scheduling tools, implement new applications as appropriate, and serve as a guardian of business proprietary scheduling information. Develop and maintain 'owner' planning & scheduling procedures and standard practices as required. Enable contractor understanding of required Integrated Project Scheduling IPS practices and procedures.
