About the Role

Duties

You will provide technical oversight and contract compliance in the test and evaluation of Non-Propulsion Electronics (NPE), Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence (C3I), and Combat Systems (CS).

You will interact routinely with government and contract vendors to coordinate and collaborate in technical investigations to resolve NPE, C3I, and CS issues using established and new evaluation techniques.

You will develop procedures to support the integration, test and evaluation, and modernization of shipboard systems, components, and equipment.

You will review and evaluate technical data and test information as a member of the Joint Test Group (JTG) to verify accuracy and compliance with applicable specifications.

You will coordinate and review the efforts of contractor representatives to ensure proper integration, testing and installation of electronics.

You will monitor and review shipyard planning, resourcing, and scheduling and related tests to determine compliance with predetermined specifications.

You will act as sea trial observer and coordinator to report on and status test conduct, equipment casualties, and other discrepancies during trials.

You will utilize technical drawings and documents to troubleshoot failed systems and equipment.
