This strategically important role will play a key part in establishing and growing our contaminated land business in South Australia, while initially supporting a strong and active pipeline of work across Victoria and nationally. It is ideally suited to an experienced consultant who combines technical excellence, project leadership and business development capability.

Successful candidates will be supported to develop both professionally and personally, with clear opportunities for long-term leadership and career progression within a global consultancy.

Day to day tasks would involve:

  • Lead and manage complex contaminated land and remediation projects, including scope development, budgets, programs, governance and reporting.
  • Drive business development activities in South Australia, including client relationship management, opportunity identification and proposal leadership.
  • Provide senior technical input and trusted advisory support to clients across infrastructure, industrial, Defence, resources and property sectors.
  • Support and collaborate with national teams to deliver projects across Victoria and other states as required.
  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level consultants, contributing to capability development and future team growth.

To be successful for this role you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Chemistry or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience (ideally 7+ years) in contaminated land assessment, remediation and environmental investigations.
  • Proven project leadership and client management experience within a consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated business development capability and a strong understanding of the South Australian or Australian environmental market.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate credibly at senior client and stakeholder level.

What we offer:

  • Genuine Flexible Working Arrangements - Including work from home opportunities, provision for school term contracts, job sharing and part time employment.
  • Option to purchase up to 4 weeks additional leave.
  • Learning and Talent Development Programs - Including Global programmes, online learning and on-the-job learning.
  • Mentoring for your own development and the opportunity to mentor others.
  • A friendly team environment, with dedicated and enthusiastic staff committed to producing high quality service and deliverables.
