By joining Datavant today, you're stepping onto a driven and highly collaborative team that is passionate about creating transformative change in healthcare.Position Overview: The Vice President, Account Management (Strategic Accounts) is responsible for leading Datavant's relationships with a portfolio of highly complex, strategically important provider customers.This role owns retention, revenue growth, executive engagement, and value realization across assigned accounts, ensuring Datavant is positioned as a long-term strategic partner within each customer organization.Key Responsibilities:

  • Own overall relationship health, retention, and growth for assigned strategic provider accounts
  • Lead executive-level engagement and multi-threaded relationships across customer organizations
  • Develop and execute account strategies aligned to customers' business objectives, market dynamics, and growth initiatives
  • Drive renewals, renegotiations, and expansion opportunities in partnership with GTM and Finance
  • Champion adoption of Datavant's digital solutions, global workflows, and modernized operating models
  • Proactively identify account risk and lead resolution of high-impact customer issues
  • Translate operational performance into clear, value-based narratives for senior customer stakeholders
  • Partner closely with Service Delivery to ensure transparency, alignment, and issue resolution
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Implementation, and Marketing to deliver on customer commitments
  • Maintain accurate account plans, forecasts, and CRM documentation
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 8-12+ years experience in healthcare account management, strategic sales, or services
  • Proven success managing large, complex provider or enterprise customer relationships
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen, including renewals, pricing, and margin considerations
  • Deep understanding of healthcare provider environments and HIPAA-regulated services
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50-75%

The estimated base salary range (not including variable pay) for this role is:

$145,600-$167,400 USD

To ensure the safety of patients and staff, many of our clients require post-offer health screenings and proof and/or completion of various vaccinations such as the flu shot, Tdap, COVID-19, etc. Any requests to be exempted from these requirements will be reviewed by Datavant Human Resources and determined on a case-by-case basis.
