You should have a proven ability to optimize and reduce the cloud cost structure in effective and innovative ways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage cloud costs and usage across multiple cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), providing cost transparency and actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze cloud spending to identify areas for cost optimization, savings opportunities, and financial efficiency.
  • Implement cloud financial management best practices and establish a FinOps framework to manage cloud expenditure effectively.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to design cost-effective cloud architectures that meet performance and scalability requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud pricing models, service changes, and tools for cost optimization across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Develop and implement strategies for resource optimization, including rightsizing, instance scheduling, and reserved instance management.
  • Provide detailed reporting on cloud usage and financial performance to internal teams and leadership.
  • Conduct regular cloud cost audits, and identify unused or underutilized resources to improve efficiency and eliminate waste.
  • Negotiate cloud service pricing and contract terms with vendors to maximize cost savings.
  • Ensure cloud infrastructure remains aligned with budget constraints and financial forecasts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on cost management and optimization (FinOps).
  • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform services, pricing structures, and cost management tools.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing cost optimization strategies and reducing cloud expenditure.
  • Deep understanding of cloud pricing models, including pay-as-you-go, reserved instances, savings plans, and spot pricing.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make informed decisions.
  • Experience with cloud financial management tools like AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, Google Cloud Billing, or third-party FinOps tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • FinOps Certification or relevant cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP) are a plus.
  • Cloud Platform Proficiency: Expertise in AWS, Azure, and GCP with cross-cloud solutions.
  • Integration: Experience in seamless app and service integration across clouds.
  • Vendor Agnostic: Skilled in building flexible, non-provider-specific systems.
  • Cost & Governance: Strong in optimizing costs and ensuring compliance across clouds.
  • High Availability: Expertise in multi-cloud disaster recovery and failover strategies.
