About the Role

Systems Integration Engineer | Lockheed Martin

Space is a critical domain, connecting our technologies, our security and our humanity. While others view space as a destination, we see it as a realm of possibilities, where we can do more — we can innovate, invest, inspire and integrate our capabilities to transform the future. At Lockheed Martin Space, we aim to harness the full potential of space to cultivate innovation, reduce costs, and push the boundaries of what technology can achieve. We're creating future-ready solutions, focusing on resiliency and urgency through our 21st Century Security® vision.

We're erasing boundaries and forming partnerships across industries and around the world. We're advancing spacecraft and the workforce to fuel the next generation. And we're reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you.

The Combined Orbital Operations, Logistics, and Resiliency (COOLR) program ensures U.S. military forces have continuous, secure, and uninterrupted global communications by providing operations and maintenance of Military Strategic and Tactical Relay (Milstar), and Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) satellite constellations.COOLR's mission encompasses satellite bus and payload sustainment, ground hardware maintenance, on-orbit troubleshooting, cybersecurity enhancements, and mission planning.

This position supports the AEHF and Milstar programs, providing worldwide, secure, survivable, protected communications, where you will serve as a system engineering authority for cross-element, cross-segment integration activities spanning hardware, software, and firmware boundaries. You will plan, coordinate, and execute system integration efforts across multiple engineering disciplines, driving interface definition, compatibility resolution, and end-to-end verification across subsystem and segment boundaries.

Responsibilities include leading the development and execution of integration test plans and procedures for mission-critical systems, managing cross-functional technical initiatives from requirements decomposition through verification and validation, and ensuring system-level performance compliance against rigorous program specifications. The role demands strong engineering acumen, coordinating schedules, dependencies, and technical risks across multidisciplinary teams, while providing senior-level guidance on integration challenges throughout the program lifecycle.

Additionally, you will perform communication planning workflows to provide the Test & Training Simulation Element (TTSE) with products used to generate Initial Configuration (IC) Sets, validate and troubleshoot those sets across segment interfaces, and lead the analysis, resolution, and documentation of anomalies discovered during mission operations and TTSE testing.

Desired skills include experience with Clearcase and/or ClearQuest, experience with the Windows operating system, experience with Oracle database with knowledge of SQL commands, experience providing technical training, strong communication/presentation skills, and strong problem-solving skills.
