Acuity is seeking a Regional Market Director to be accountable for the overall management, development, and strategic objectives of a defined geographic region.This role partners closely with key members of the executive team to maximize outcomes related to profit, growth, and risk diversification across both personal and commercial lines.The Regional Market Director maintains a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and emerging trends, including traditional and disruptive forces impacting the insurance industry.
By cultivating a data-driven mindset, this leader identifies opportunities and delivers targeted solutions that optimize performance while enhancing the overall customer experience.
Essential functions include developing a strategic vision and tactical plan in partnership with key executives, accountable for seeing developed strategic plans through to execution, monitoring and evaluating market performance, industry trends, and competitive position, developing and managing key business metrics, identifying opportunities and producing recommendations using interpretations of data and trends, leveraging a data-driven approach to deliver insights that inform and direct corporate and marketplace strategy, fostering an environment of gathering and critiquing marketplace intelligence, building strong relationships with corresponding underwriting, distribution, and actuarial teams, working closely with Customer and Communication area to execute strategy, presenting regular comprehensive updates on market performance, proactively following insurance industry trends, actively pursuing continued professional development, and performing other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor's degree or extensive applicable experience.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-line property and casualty insurance with a background in underwriting, claims, actuarial science, distribution, or product development. Demonstrated success in leading projects from inception to delivery is a plus.
Other qualifications include cultivating productive relationships across the organization, strong presentation and facilitation skills, solid capacity in data synthesis, analysis, and visualization, strong capabilities in critical thinking, problem solving, and sound decisions, ability to translate key business and marketplace insights into actionable strategies, excels in verbal and written communications, readily adapts to changing conditions, effectively prioritizes, organizes, and accomplishes tasks in a self-directed environment.
