Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in Los Angeles, CA. This role is onsite at a unique 10-bed medical respite facility focused on trauma-informed recovery for neighbors experiencing homelessness and substance use.
Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
Schedule:
Day Shift: Mon–Fri | 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Night Shift: Sun–Thu | 11:00 PM–8:00 AM
Pay: $28.00 – $31.70/hr (No On-Call & No Travel)
Responsibilities of the LVN
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a 24-hour respite setting with a 3:1 or 4:1 ratio.
Manage patient admissions, medication passes, and routine clinical procedures.
Support the supervising RN with wound care, vaccinations, and phlebotomy for challenging access.
Navigate patients through addiction medicine and support hygiene needs with "unconditional positive regard."
Maintain a clean, stocked workspace in both clinical and community areas (drop-in centers, parklets).
Collaborate within a 3-person core team (1 RN, 1 LVN, 1 CNA) to ensure safe, healing environments.
Qualifications of the LVN
License: Current California LVN License (Verified via Nursys).
Experience: 1+ year in community health, clinic, or outpatient settings.
Skills: Current BLS (AHA); strong documentation skills.
Preferences: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus; familiarity with harm reduction and addiction medicine.
Mandatory Compliance (Contract-to-Hire)
Background: County/Felony/Misdemeanor (FAM), National Criminal Record, FACIS III, Sex Offender Registry, and SSN Trace.
Medical: Annual Physical and PPD/TB test (negative result).
Immunizations: MMR, Hepatitis B, and COVID/Flu vaccinations (or signed declinations with masking).
