Assemble and troubleshoot fiber lasers
Set up and run oscilloscope and/or other analytical instrumentation
Perform splicing of fibers and soldering of electrical components
Perform optical and electrical tests and measurements
Properly record information
Ability to read and follow written instructions and schematics
Must be organized, energetic, reliable, timely and detail oriented
Strong communication skills
Data entry skills
HS Diploma (Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Science or Engineering preferred), or 3 years of relevant industry experience
Ability to work with small parts for extended periods for time (i.e. under a microscope or working with fibers)
Familiar with spectroscopy, microscopy, oscilloscopes, voltmeters, photo-detectors, optical spectrum analyzers, and other similar test equipment.
Ability to read and follow written instructions and schematics.
Data entry skills, Basic Microsoft Excel
Experience with laser diodes, solid-state or fiber lasers, electrical signal registration and measurement is preferred
