About the Role

Director of Digital Enablement and Business Transformation

The Director of Digital Enablement and Business Transformation leads enterprise-wide initiatives that improve operational efficiency, workforce productivity, and overall business performance across Furnitureland South.

This role applies modern process design, including artificial intelligence (AI) and digital tools, to improve how work is performed across all business units. The Director serves as a bridge between Information Technology and business operations to ensure technical applications are well-designed, adopted, and deliver sustainable results.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a business transformation roadmap aligned with company priorities.
  • Identify high-impact opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and customer experience.
  • Partner with executive leadership to prioritize initiatives based on business value and readiness.
  • Lead adoption of AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) across the organization.
  • Identify and implement high-value AI use cases that improve productivity and decision-making.
  • Translate business needs into scalable, AI-enabled solutions.
  • Ensure AI use aligns with data governance, security requirements, and applicable compliance standards.
  • Map, evaluate, and redesign key business processes to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Reduce manual effort through automation and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Develop and standardize SOPs, templates, and best practices to support consistent execution across departments.
  • Partner with Organizational Development to deliver training for new tools, processes, and workflows.
  • Develop role-based enablement strategies that increase effective use of enterprise systems.
  • Establish and support an internal Champions network to drive adoption and share best practices.
  • Partner with Organizational Development to lead functional change management to ensure successful adoption of new tools and processes.
  • Communicate plans, progress, and impacts clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Identify adoption barriers and implement strategies to address concerns and reduce resistance.
  • Define and track KPIs (e.g., adoption, cycle-time reduction, quality improvements, and ROI).
  • Monitor and report transformation outcomes.
  • Refine initiatives based on performance data, user feedback, and business priorities.
Qualifications

Competencies:

  • Business process analysis and redesign (current-state to future-state).
  • Practical AI enablement and use-case identification (from idea to implementation).
  • Change management and adoption planning (communications, training, reinforcement).
  • Cross-functional leadership and stakeholder alignment.
  • Strategic thinking paired with disciplined execution and follow-through.
  • Clear, concise communication and facilitation with technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
  • 7+ years of experience in business transformation, operations, process improvement, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives from planning through implementation.
  • Experience driving adoption of new tools, systems, or ways of working.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled tools and/or digital transformation practices.
  • Experience in retail, distribution, or logistics environments.
  • Exposure to enterprise systems (ERP, WMS, CRM).
  • Background in change management, process improvement, or consulting.
