About the Role
This role is a great opportunity for an innovative engineer that really likes the automation process, challenges, and finding solutions to automation problems. The career path could lead to being over the electrical team. There will be the opportunity to mentor less experienced engineers. Employees are never bored because every product varies greatly and is custom-made. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate should include the following:
Creating PLC's and HMI's from scratch
Ensuring projects are completed within parameters
Mentoring and training engineering staff
Developing standard controls, electrical components, programs and enclosures
Utilizing standardized modules
Working to simplify the design process
Redesigning to meet the changing needs of customers
Monitoring start-up and testing before products go to the customer
Traveling up to 25% to customer sites
Troubleshooting
The background of the successful candidate must include the following:
Five years of automation controls design experience for OEM machines
A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (an additional five years of OEM Machinery experience would be considered in lieu of a degree)
Possess the ability to travel up to 25%
A solid work history
A US citizen or possess a green card
A residence within 45 minutes
