About the Role

Responsibilities include: design and management of transportation projects;ongoingbusiness development oftransportation design services market with local agencies;gain greater access into larger agency markets with a focus on the Alaska Department of Transportation's Infrastructure Projects;coordinate business development within the civil department and across the Transportation Market Segment.

Duties include: Administerand coordinateproject contracts Developand manageproject scope, schedule and budget Providemonthly reports on scope,schedule and budget of each project Managemultiple projects or one largeproject Reviewand editcontracts in coordination with company's legal staff Followcompany QA/QC processes Understandfunction & roleof each team member Assembleand manageproject teams Manageand is account for all aspects of project over the life of the project (initiate, plan, execute, control, close) Manageproject managers with a strong focus on client satisfaction and profitability Assistin development oforganization that fosters communication, teamwork and work share throughout the company Createpositive working environment withproactive communication and mentoring of professionals Participateinupgrading and creating operations and marketing strategies for the department Has supervisory responsibilities Other pertinent duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering (PE required) Minimum seven (7) years successful experience in providing professional or construction related services.

Minimum two (2) years project managementand team management experience Experience with planning, design, permitting, &project management.Knowledge of ADOT & PF staff, procurement procedures, design manuals,standard specifications, transportation plans, and issues.Knowledge of Alaska public funding sources &processes.Working knowledge of FHA, BIA Tribal Transportation Program, AASHTO and municipalitiesdesign standards.

Knowledge of permafrost andremote Alaskan design and construction Ability to develop projectscope, schedule, and budget Understanding of Earned Value project management tools/techniques Demonstrated track record of completing projects on time and on budget Proven track record leading and managing projects within Alaska Demonstrated leadership skills Outstanding written and oral communication skills Strong organizational skills -ability to work on multiple/complex projects in diverse areas A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under company vehicle insurance policy.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (preferred) Why is This a Great Opportunity: Anchorage is a dynamic location, with mountains surrounding and abundant wildlife and waterways across the area.There is easy access to year-around outdoor activities including boating, general aviation, hiking, hunting, fishing, skiing, 4-wheeling, and snow-machining.The university in the area offers continuing education opportunities, cultural activities and provides a center for the community to grow.Salary Type : Annual Salary Salary Min : 130000 Salary Max : 175000 Currency Type : US Dollars
