Marketing Analytics Business Analyst
Our client is seeking a Marketing Analytics Business Analyst to support strategic marketing analytics, compliance, and business insights initiatives within a large financial services environment. This role will partner closely with business, marketing, compliance, analytics, and technology teams to gather requirements, drive analysis, and support data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements across marketing analytics, customer insights, reporting, and compliance initiatives.
- Translate business needs into detailed user stories, functional requirements, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, requirements sessions, and business process discussions.
- Partner with marketing, analytics, compliance, and technology teams to support project delivery and business objectives.
- Perform gap analysis, process improvement assessments, and requirements traceability activities.
- Support reporting, dashboard, and business insights initiatives to help drive strategic decision-making.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, defect management, and UAT activities.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams supporting customer analytics, campaign reporting, compliance, and operational improvements.
- Develop business documentation, process maps, presentations, and status reporting for stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of Business Analyst experience within banking, financial services, or regulated environments.
- Strong experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements.
- Experience supporting marketing analytics, customer insights, reporting, business intelligence, or data analytics initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience with requirements traceability, UAT coordination, process mapping, and business process improvement.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Experience working with compliance, governance, risk, or regulatory-driven initiatives is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar reporting and analytics tools.
- Experience supporting marketing campaign analytics, customer segmentation, performance measurement, and insights reporting.
- Previous experience supporting large enterprise financial institutions is preferred.
- Charlotte, NC-based candidates are highly preferred.
