Wheeling University invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor position in the MBA program within the Department of Business, beginning August 2026. We seek a dedicated educator who is passionate about teaching and committed to supporting the University's mission. The successful candidate will teach graduate-level MBA courses in a fully online format.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned in-person courses following approved curriculum
• Prepare and share course syllabi and materials
• Lead engaging classroom instruction and activities
• Must remain accessible to students through virtual meetings and respond to emails and messages within a reasonable timeframe
• Provide timely feedback and grading
• Refer students to campus resources as needed
• Keep accurate grade records and submit grades on time
• Uphold academic integrity standards
• Attend required meetings and trainings
• Follow institutional policies and procedures
• Communicate with department leadership as needed
• Stay current in subject area and teaching practices

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Business or a related discipline is required.
• Prior college-level teaching experience in an online format
• Relevant professional experience in the field
• Basic proficiency with instructional technology and learning management systems (i.e. Canvas)
