Sales And Marketing Director
This is a remote position. Position summary: The Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for planning and implementing sales, marketing, and product development programs, both short- and long-range, targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties personally or through the team members on the sales and marketing teams.
Essential duties and responsibilities include developing and implementing strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
Other duties include planning and overseeing advertising and promotion activities, developing and recommending product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy, evaluating market research and adjusting marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions, monitoring competitor products, sales, and marketing activities, establishing and maintaining relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners, guiding preparation of marketing activity reports and presenting to executive management, establishing and maintaining a consistent company image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events, directing sales forecasting activities and setting performance goals accordingly, directing staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs, directing market channel development activity and coordinating sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals, representing company at trade association meetings to promote product, meeting with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals, assisting other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications, preparing periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion, reviewing and analyzing sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness, directing product research and development, managing and directing sales and marketing teams, including recruitment, selection and development to achieve company goals and objectives.
Physical demands and work environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.However, in some instances, this job may require work in areas where ear protection is necessary.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business preferred. Minimum of five years related experience with progressive managerial responsibilities. Demonstrated skill with in-depth sales and marketing techniques and financial principles. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with co-management, and internal and external customers. Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems.
Other desired qualifications: Experience with technical sales for industrial equipment. Experience in the brewing industry.
