We are seeking a passionate and motivated
Science Teacher to join our growing online instructional team. The ideal candidate believes all students can succeed and is committed to creating interactive virtual learning experiences that inspire curiosity and critical thinking.
Responsibilities - Deliver engaging virtual science instruction for middle and/or high school students
- Develop lesson plans aligned with Michigan academic standards
- Use digital learning platforms to provide interactive instruction and assessments
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse student learning needs
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff
- Participate in virtual staff meetings, professional development, and school events
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive online classroom environment
Qualifications - Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Science Endorsement preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Education, Science, or related field
- Experience teaching in online or blended learning environments is a plus
- Strong technology and classroom management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build meaningful relationships in a virtual setting
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with LMS platforms such as Canvas, Google Classroom, or Schoology
- Knowledge of project-based learning and inquiry-based science instruction
- Ability to teach multiple science disciplines (Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, etc.)
