Professional level senior who works with (Data).Responsibilities: Professional responsible for designing, developing, and sustaining data engineering solutions, ensuring scalable and reliable data ingestion, processing, and availability.Works with system integration, especially SAP, and construction of pipelines in a Data Lake environment, supporting analysis and Power BI reports.Configure and manage data extraction from SAP systems using techniques such as CDC (Change Data Capture) and native connectors (ODP, OData, CDS Views).Develop, orchestrate, and monitor data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
Implement data transformation processes using SQL and/or Spark (when applicable to the environment).Structure and maintain data in Data Lake, organized in Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers, following good Data Lakehouse architecture practices.Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency throughout the pipeline.Prepare reliable and optimized datasets for consumption in Power BI.Implement good practices of code versioning and pipelines using GitHub.Monitor and optimize performance of data loads and transformations.Document data flows, pipelines, and data architecture.Work in conjunction with BI and business teams to meet analytical demands.
Required Experience: Data SAP integration: CDC (Change Data Capture) ODP (Operational Data Provisioning) OData CDS Views; Practical experience with: Azure Data Factory (ADF) Data Lake; Strong SQL mastery; Experience in data modeling and transformation; Knowledge of layered data architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold); Experience with GitHub (code versioning); Knowledge of data formats such as Parquet or similar; Experience with data preparation for Power BI.
Preferred Knowledge: Distributed processing knowledge (Spark or equivalent); Languages such as Python; Experience with data quality and governance tools; Knowledge of dimensional modeling (star schema); Experience with pipeline monitoring; Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban); Experience in SAP integration projects with Data Lake; Experience in preparing data for analytics and dashboards; Knowledge of good data governance and quality practices; Experience in large corporate environments.
