About the Role

Bilingual Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Bilingual Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will support our Plan Members in their return-to-work journey by designing and implementing individualized, outcome-focused rehabilitation strategies. Working collaboratively with clients, healthcare professionals, and external partners, you will play a critical role in helping individuals regain meaningful and sustainable employment.

This is a home-based position, with regional travel required to meet with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage personalized vocational rehabilitation and return-to-work programs, ensuring alignment with best practices and client goals.
  • Develop innovative, goal-oriented strategies to support individuals receiving disability benefits in returning to meaningful employment.
  • Manage program budgets, including planning, monitoring, and ensuring cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders—including clients, healthcare providers, employers, and vendors—to create effective and sustainable return-to-work solutions.
  • Facilitate the transition of ill and injured members of the Canadian Forces into post-release employment.
  • Conduct client assessments, coordinate services, and oversee vendor engagement to ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Communicate complex or sensitive information clearly and professionally to clients and stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed, high-quality reports in accordance with departmental standards.
Required Qualifications:
  • University degree in a relevant field; preference for Health Sciences, Psychology, Counselling or Career Development.
  • 5+ years of vocational rehabilitation experience, or equivalent experience in active rehabilitation.
  • Fully bilingual (French/English): The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation industry standards, disability insurance, medical terminology, and case management best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in budget management within a professional environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work under tight deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high performance and accountability.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for regional travel.

When you join our team:

  • We'll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.
  • We'll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.
  • As part of our global team, we'll support you in shaping the future you want to see.
