Senior Recruiter
Senior Recruiter – Commercial Construction (A/E/C) Position Overview The Senior Recruiter will lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for critical roles supporting commercial, aviation, sports, convention center, residential, healthcare, education, hospitality, mission critical etc, construction projects, to include ground-up, Interiors, Renovations, Adaptive reuse/conversion, expansion/addition across the United States.This individual will partner closely with leadership, operations, human resources and business development teams to identify, attract, and secure top-tier talent across project management, field operations, and preconstruction functions.
This role requires a deep understanding of the commercial construction lifecycle, strong industry networks, and the ability to recruit for complex, high-impact roles in a highly competitive talent market.
Full-Cycle Recruitment Leadership
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for roles including Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, and Preconstruction leaders, and other support functions.
- Lead intake sessions with hiring managers to define position requirements, success profiles, and hiring strategies.
- Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies for both active and passive candidates.
Strategic Talent Acquisition
- Build and maintain pipelines of top construction talent across the Northeast market.
- Identify and engage talent from key competitors (e.g., Turner, Skanska, Gilbane, Suffolk, DPR, Whiting-Turner)
- Partner with leadership to forecast hiring needs aligned with project pipeline and business growth.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on talent trends, compensation benchmarks, and hiring challenges.
- Provide consultative guidance on candidate selection, market conditions, and competitive positioning.
- Influence hiring decisions through data-driven insights and market intelligence
Must Have
- 6+ years of recruiting experience, with a strong focus on commercial construction or A/E/C industries.
- Proven success recruiting for ground-up construction roles (PM, Superintendent, Estimator, PX, etc.)
- Deep understanding of construction project delivery methods (CM-at-Risk, Design-Build, GMP, etc.)
- Strong network within the construction market.
- Experience sourcing passive candidates and executing direct outreach strategies.
