About the Role
Freelance Filmmaker – Stock Library Scenes
This role involves collaborating with a frontier AI lab to provide high-quality, decomposed video clips for machine learning training data. Artists with existing stock libraries of 3D realistic or VFX composited scenes are sought, with a focus on scenes containing approximately 3–8 layers. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of real-world style 3D scenes or cinematic advert/movie scenes, rather than industrial or motion graphic content. The initial engagement will begin with a test clip, with the potential for substantial ongoing work involving hundreds of videos.
Deliverables:
Supply video clips (8+ seconds) from your stock library, each separated into individual layer clips (3–8 layers per scene).
Ensure all rendered video clips are 720p or higher, with total pixel consistency between layers and the original composite.
Provide scenes featuring complex occlusions, atmospherics, and crowd dynamics where possible.
Adhere to a standardized delivery pipeline and meet agreed deadlines.
Submit a short introduction, background, stock library links, day/hourly rate, and an estimated time to separate a video into layers.
Requirements:
Proven experience in rotoscoping and compositing, ideally at a mid-level or above.
Demonstrated ability to deliver consistent, high-quality work to deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and reliability in handling volume work.
Ownership of rights to all submitted stock library content.
Willingness to sign an NDA prior to commencing work.
