About the Role

Location: 5603 Roanne Way, Greensboro, North Carolina 27409

Summary:

Responsible for successfully leading the overall variable operations of the dealership. The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for operations, profitability, performance results, and customer satisfaction in all variable departments in the dealership.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Works with variable department managers to improve operations, performance, and profitability.

  • Works closely with service and parts managers on customer and process issues.

  • Works with General Manager and Human Resources to make hiring and discipline decisions.

  • Plans and implements successful variable operations.

  • Assesses the operations of all new and used vehicle operations

  • Maintains good working relationship with manufacturer and lending institutions.

  • Conducts daily, weekly, and monthly meetings.

  • Assists sales and finance team members with processing or completing sales.

  • Oversees training and supervising of sales, finance, and BDC team employees.

  • Develops product promotions to motivate sales, finance, and BDC team employees and managers.

  • Oversees department inventory control and pricing.

  • Oversees departmental gross profit and related departmental expenses.

  • Works to motivate sales, finance and BDC team employees and managers.

  • Oversees reporting of sales to manufacturer(s).

  • Has working knowledge of factory(s) incentive programs.

  • Regularly attends required manager meetings and bucket meetings.

  • Maintains effective employee relations.

  • Maintains CSI at or above Company standards

  • Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area

  • Participates in required training

  • Follows Safeguards rules and regulations.

  • Demonstrates the Company's Core Values

  • Complies with Company policies and procedures

  • Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Computer Skills:

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products. Advanced ability and knowledge of Dealership Management System and web based applications.

Communication Skills:

Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and companypersonnel.

Attendance Expectations:

The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit.

Environment Demands:

Duties are performed throughout the premises, both indoors and outdoors and on customer test drives. Due to the nature of the position, may be exposed to various work environments and required to perform a variety of tasks. Work includes frequent movement around the company facilities and the outdoor car lot to interact with customers and other departments.

Verbal and Writing Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
