About the Role

Specialist Lead

This is a remote role that may only be hired in the following locations: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Wyoming, and California.

This position provides support for the Community Development Finance (CDF) investment closing and servicing team by performing a variety of operational, processing, and quality control functions. Specialist Lead will build relationships with existing and potential clients and collaborate with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities
  • Investment Closing - Tracks deal closing status, monitors receipt of all required investment closing due diligence items, final documentation, closing compliance, funding, and other closing steps for LIHTC and Other CRA investments executed by the CDF team. Coordinates with Relationship Manager, Bank's legal counsel, and customer/client to ensure timely and accurate closing and funding.
  • Customer Service - Answers inbound communications to service accounts, fulfill requests, or address issues. Determines target needs and provides resolution while maintaining a high standard of service.
  • Operational Support - Performs various operational tasks that occur during customer and associate inquiries. Streamlines the workflow for other associates within the business unit through operational activities.
  • Documentation - Handles standard documentation associated with daily activities, which may include processing, reviewing, or distributing materials. Maintains and updates department records within a system.
  • Business Proficiency - Reviews and maintains knowledge of any laws, regulations, and policies that affect specific job duties to produce work that is accurate, efficient, and compliant. Utilizes product, system, or process familiarity to resolve problems and handle customer requests. May offer guidance and direction to less experienced specialists through knowledge in area of work.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Closing/Servicing/Processing, Operations Support OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Closing/Servicing/Processing, Operations Support

Preferred Area of Experience: Real Estate Investments, Affordable Housing, Community Reinvestment Act

Knowledge of Community Development, Familiarity with financial services, to include closing and servicing

If hired in California or Washington, the base pay for this position is generally between $79,390 to $100,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
