Job description
Are you a proactive Treasury professional with strong SAP S4HANA knowledge?
Are you looking for a challenging interim assignment in a dynamic, international environment? For Sabic, we are looking for a driven Interim Sr. Analyst Cash Management during a crucial transformation period.
The Challenge
Sabic is currently in an exciting transition phase. Due to a divestment (the sale of the ITP Business Plastics and GE Plastics divisions in Europe to a private equity firm), there is a need for extra capacity within the team. While the financial staff of the sold divisions will transfer to the buyer, your department will remain responsible for the Global management and the US business (including import).
What do we offer?
A challenging freelance/ZZP assignment for 6 months (until December 31, 2026), to backfill for a departing team member.
Start date: August 3rd, 2026 (onboarding must be completed before the start of phase 2 of the divestment at the end of September).
Chance of extension: possible depending on the situation and the formation of the permanent team (Remainco).
Flexibility: after an intensive onboarding period at the Amsterdam office (at least 2-3 days a week initially), working from home 50% of the time is an option.
Ready for this assignment?
Please submit your resume clearly highlighting your SAP S4HANA knowledge and practical experience with cash pools. The deadline to submit candidates is the end of June, with interviews taking place in the beginning of July.
SABIC (Saudi Basic Industries Corporation) is a global leader in the chemical industry, headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The company manufactures a diverse range of products, including chemicals, commodity and high-performance plastics, agri-nutrients, and metals. With operations in over 50 countries, it serves vital sectors such as construction, medical devices, packaging, and transportation.
SABIC is recognized for its focus on innovation and sustainability, heavily investing in the development of advanced materials and circular economy solutions. As a subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, it plays a central role in the global supply chain for industrial raw materials.
You will work in the Amsterdam branch of the global Treasury team. This is a compact (5 people), close-knit, and highly international team. Within this flat organization, collaboration is key: everyone pitches in, does not shy away from operational tasks, and helps each other out where needed.
What will you do?
In this broad role, you will be hands-on managing day-to-day operational cash management activities, while proactively identifying improvements. Your responsibilities include:
Managing operational cash- and liquidity management, as well as operational bank relationship management.
Preparing short-term forecasting and creating the Weekly liquidity report.
Creating Monthly & Quarterly Cash Reports related to the cash pool.
Coordinating the agenda and managing the monthly intercompany planning calls.
Supporting ad hoc requests (financial analysis, process improvement, automatization).
Driving initiatives that enhance cash or operational efficiency or improve visibility.
Who are you?
Hard requirement: We are specifically looking for a candidate with strong operational/ technical knowledge of ERP (SAP S4HANA, Treasury module + Fiori is a must). The team relies on your expertise to pick this up independently.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, eager, and decisive professional with a strong "can-do"mentality. Furthermore, you bring:
3 to 5 years of working experience in Treasury operations, cash management, and liquidity.
Ideally experience at similar “capital” companies or “holding” companies.
Proven experience with Cash Pools (this is a must).
Advanced knowledge of Excel and Treasury cash management/trade services systems.
A solid understanding of general business processes (P2P, OTC).
Strong communication skills in a cross-functional environment (fluent proficiency in English isrequired; virtually no Dutch is spoken).
Please provide CV and motivationletter in English
