About the Role

Electrical Design Production Lead

Ehvert Mission Critical, a business unit within Salas O'Brien, is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Production Lead to lead the design of complex electrical systems for hyperscale and AI data centers across North America. This is a remote positionwithin an international engineering firm recognized for its innovation and expertise in mission-critical infrastructure.

Our projects involve large-scale, high-demand facilities with complex structural, electrical, mechanical, automation, and security systems, often exceeding 100 MW per facility and up to 500 MW per site.

The Electrical Design Production Lead is a hands-on role focused on electrical design production, coordination, and quality control. This position is ideal for a mid-level to experienced professional with a strong production background who enjoys being deeply involved in detailed design work rather than operating purely in a senior or strategic oversight capacity. The role primarily supports internal project teams by ensuring high-quality, well-coordinated electrical design deliverables and is not designed as a traditional people-management or client-ownership role.

What We Offer:

  • Experience in a high-tech industry within an international company
  • Unique, cutting-edge data center projects
  • Comprehensive training
  • Professional development support
  • Supportive management and a dynamic team environment
  • Career growth potential
  • Ability to work from home
  • Comprehensive compensation package
  • Competitive employee benefits: Health insurance (Medical, HSA & FSA, Dental, Vision), Life insurance, Short-term and long-term disability, many other benefits, including PTO.
  • Opportunity to participate in the company's retirement plan
  • Stock ownership / synthetic equity options

What You Will Do:

  • Coordinate and manage electrical design production across multiple project teams within the data center sector
  • Collaborate closely with electrical engineers, architects, project managers, designers, BIM modelers, and other disciplines to ensure coordinated and high-quality deliverables
  • Actively participate in hands-on electrical design and production work using Revit and other electrical design and coordination software
  • Develop, update, and maintain electrical models and drawings throughout all project phases
  • Review electrical drawings at all project stages, including IFP, IFC, permit, and construction documents
  • Perform detailed quality control checks and comprehensive design reviews
  • Break down production tasks, assign work, and manage resources effectively to meet project schedules
  • Support project teams with documentation review and issue resolution using project management and collaboration tools
  • Participate in client calls as needed to support coordination and communication (not acting as the primary client lead)

What We Expect:

Core qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  • 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in electrical design, production, or coordination experience, preferably in the construction industry
  • Strong proficiency in Revit is a critical requirement (daily use in production and coordination)
  • Solid understanding of electrical design workflows, tools, and production processes

Technical experience:

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems design, including:
  • Power distribution systems
  • UPS systems and standby generators
  • Life safety, monitoring, and security systems
  • Familiarity with NEC, applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations
  • Practical experience on commercial, healthcare, industrial, or comparable complex building projects

Tools & platforms (nice to have):

  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and Revizto is a plus
  • PE license is not required, but considered an asset

Working style & soft skills & other:

  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and coordination
  • Ability to coordinate and support production workflows effectively across multiple teams
  • Strong communication skills for internal teams and occasional client interactions
  • Optional site visits if desired (no required travel)
  • Authorization to work in the United States
