Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice - Extension Financial Literacy Specialist
The primary focus of this position will be financial literacy, ensuring that individuals gain the knowledge and skills necessary to make sound financial decisions and achieve financial wellness.This position provides educational leadership in the development, management, implementation, and evaluation of research-based, integrative statewide Extension programs that meet the needs of limited-resource and socially disadvantaged audiences.
It delivers training and educational support materials for field staff and their clientele/customers in financial literacy, aligning with the philosophy, policy, and overall mission, goals, and educational objectives of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Program.Specifically, this position coordinates and develops educational programs focused on budgeting, saving, credit management, investing, retirement planning, and other personal finance topics.These programs will be implemented in community-based settings through the N.C.Cooperative Extension Service.
This is a non-tenured track faculty (NTTF), twelve-month position at the rank of "Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice – Extension Financial Literacy Specialist" in North Carolina A&T Cooperative Extension.Position's incumbent is eligible for title promotion and academically housed in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences.As NTTF faculty, this position can be released, up to 25% of time and effort once per year, to teach for-credit academic coursework.
