About the Role

AI Engineer - Automation/Robotics 3

Our client, a leading technology organization specializing in innovative data solutions, is seeking an AI Engineer - Automation/Robotics 3 to join their team. As an AI Engineer - Automation/Robotics 3, you will be part of the Data Engineering Department supporting operational automation and data validation initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Fully remote; Flexible with any time zone within the US

Pay Range: $76 - $82.hr on Experis W2 (Benefits/PTO/401k)

Top 3 Must-Have HARD Skills & years of experience for each:

1. Software engineering with Python, C#, PowerShell, or similar automation/backend language: 5+ years

2. Building automation pipelines, backend tools, data workflows, or system integrations: 3+ years

3. Working with structured/semi-structured data sources such as SQL/KQL, APIs, CSV, JSON, logs, or spreadsheets: 3+ years

What's the Job?
  • Design and implement automation pipelines to enhance operational workflows and data validation processes.
  • Gather and analyze requirements from engineering, operations, and program stakeholders, translating manual processes into technical solutions.
  • Integrate data from internal systems, databases, spreadsheets, and APIs to build reliable software solutions.
  • Develop reusable validation rules, checks, and reporting modules to support scalable workflows.
  • Automate manual review processes while maintaining appropriate human-in-the-loop approval gates.
What's Needed?
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, data engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in software engineering or automation engineering roles.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, PowerShell, C#, or similar languages focused on automation.
  • Experience building backend tools, data pipelines, and workflow automation systems.
  • Proficiency working with structured and semi-structured data such as SQL/KQL results, spreadsheets, JSON, CSV, and logs.
