STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES is a firm that integrates proprietary products and engineering services, to create one-of-a-kind construction solutions across the commercial and public end user markets.STRUCTURAL TECNOLOGIES partners across North America with general contractors and engineers helping them develop solutions for building & infrastructure projects by way of structural strengthening.We are currently looking for a Senior Director of Business Development for the Central Region with a passion for business development, sales leadership and extensive experience working with contractors and engineers in the commercial/public markets.

Understanding and expertise in structural strengthening solutions combined with business leadership experience, are valuable attributes for candidates.In this role you will collaborate with our Engineering and Contractors to develop and sell solutions that meet the needs of our valued customers.The role is highly collaborative and will include teaming with our business developers across the Central Region to implement a plan aimed at deepening relationships with existing clients and opening new doors.

The position will ideally be based in the Mid-West, although we are open to talk to candidates nationally.If you join us, you'll spend your time developing and implementing a plan based around sharing our capabilities, developing projects, and helping grow program-level service - leading our efforts to grow our strengthening business.STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES offers a wide range of solutions to include FRP composites, section enlargement, post-tensioning repairs/strengthening and shotcrete while assisting engineers with condition assessment/analysis, supporting options analysis, solution development and construction implementation.

From repair & maintenance to long-term renewal, you'll be equipped to have fun and create success helping commercial/public clients solve tough challenges.Minimum requirements include:

  • 15+ years of experience building relationships and expanding a client base in the commercial/public market. Preferably selling specialty construction services or products / services to general contracting firms.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in a business development or client services leadership role
  • Ability to navigate in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and proficiency using PowerPoint
  • Experience working in an environment where account and pursuit activity is managed in a CRM, preferably Salesforce
  • Demonstrated track record of success in a sales leadership role
  • Track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales goals / quotas utilizing a CRM system
  • Capable of leading sales functions on high-value projects
    • Working knowledge of commercial/public projects and how to position technology driven solutions
  • Candidates who possess a bachelor's degree may be given preference
Duties of the role include:
  • Implementing and tracking progress of developed commercial/public market business plans
  • Helping sales team develop, maintain, and expand business relationships within the commercial public markets across North America
  • Follow up, pursue, and communicate information on projects and client leads provided by Marketing.
  • Participate in project review calls and maintain up to date CRM listings for Strengthening projects.
  • Update the existing company contact databases with new contacts obtained from presentations, meetings, conferences, etc.
    • Proactively working with business development team, and independently, to expand the Company's relationships and clients
    • Identifying opportunities and managing pursuit of projects to achieve annual sales goal
    • Collaborating with internal teams including estimating, construction operations, technical support and management to develop and sell solutions
    • Working with senior leadership to develop plans, strategies, and tactics to expand strengthening business within STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES
    • Participating in client meetings, workshop facilitation, lunch & learns, trade shows, and other typical business development activities
    • Desire to work in a highly collaborative environment including sales activity as a specialist working across existing and new accounts
  • Support the sales team by giving presentations to potential clients on our product and construction offerings.
  • Assist with drafts of proposals for Strengthening projects and necessary revisions.
  • Assist with assembly of bid packages for Strengthening projects as necessary or requested.
  • Attend jobsite walks and pre-bid meetings as needed.
