Business Services & Consulting

About the Role

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Mid-Market Accounts based in United States.

This leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing the strategy for a high-value mid-market client portfolio, with direct impact on revenue retention, expansion, and long-term customer success. You will lead and develop a team of Account Managers while overseeing relationships with key enterprise clients across the transportation and logistics technology space. The role combines strategic planning, executive relationship management, and commercial ownership across multi-million-dollar accounts. You will act as a key escalation point for complex client needs while ensuring consistent delivery of value and strong customer satisfaction. This is a highly visible position working cross-functionally with product, sales, and operations teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Your leadership will directly influence portfolio performance, team development, and overall business outcomes.

Accountabilities:

  • Define and execute the mid-market account strategy, aligning portfolio growth, retention, and expansion goals with broader company revenue objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Account Managers, ensuring high performance, strong execution, and continuous professional growth.
  • Oversee key enterprise client relationships, serving as an executive-level point of contact and escalation leader for complex issues and negotiations.
  • Drive revenue performance across the portfolio by managing renewals, identifying expansion opportunities, and supporting high-value commercial discussions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment on customer needs and account strategies.
  • Establish forecasting, reporting, and account health monitoring frameworks to ensure accuracy, transparency, and proactive risk management.
  • Translate customer insights and market trends into strategic recommendations that influence product direction and business priorities.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in account management, customer success, or commercial leadership roles, including at least 3+ years in a senior leadership position managing teams.
  • Proven track record of leading and scaling customer-facing teams responsible for revenue retention and portfolio growth in B2B or SaaS environments.
  • Strong executive presence with demonstrated ability to engage and influence C-level stakeholders in complex organizations.
  • Experience managing large, multi-account portfolios with responsibility for renewals, expansion, and revenue forecasting.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise sales cycles, commercial negotiations, and account planning methodologies.
  • Industry experience in transportation, logistics, or connected technology platforms is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to align teams around strategy and execution.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce for forecasting, pipeline tracking, and reporting.
Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary ranging from $150,000 to $232,055 USD, with additional bonus and equity eligibility.
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer support.
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
  • Fully remote work flexibility with occasional travel (approximately 5%) to headquarters and company events.
  • Parental leave and additional family-support benefits.
  • Equity opportunities and a strong total compensation package tied to performance and impact.
