Be part of a team that's committed to making a difference.We believe in our work and our customers.Position Location Remote Type Remote Office Location (if not fully remote): n/a Job Description We are seeking a seasoned VPSecondary Marketing - Hedging & Analytics.This person will be responsible for a team of analysts, primarily leading the company's pipeline & MSR hedging strategies, maintaining the risk management framework, and running analytics.Knowledge in best execution analysis, issuing/pooling MBS, MBS trading, co-issue constructs, and reporting is required.

Location: Remote | Nationwide Opportunity Strategic Leadership & Key Responsibilities:

  • Pipeline & Risk Management: Own the interest rate risk of the mortgage pipeline. You will lead all hedging, trading, and loan sale activities to protect and enhance corporate margins.
  • Secondary Market Execution: Oversee diverse loan sale channels, including Agency whole loan cash sales, the issuance of Fannie/Freddie/Ginnie securities, co-issue transactions, and bulk correspondent sales.
  • Profitability Optimization: Conduct rigorous "best execution" analysis to maximize gain-on-sale. You will execute mandatory commitments with investors and strategically allocate loans into optimized pools.
  • System & Data Strategy: Configure and manage secondary marketing systems, including investor pricing valuations, risk adjustments, and pull-through analysis.
  • Team Empowerment: Recruits, mentors, and manages a specialized team. You will be responsible for performance evaluations, professional development, and fostering a culture of accountability and "can-do" spirit.
  • Innovation & Analysis: Develop and implement strategic initiatives, including new product development and operational process improvements. Provide ad-hoc high-level reporting to the executive team.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • A Quantitative Strategist: You have a deep understanding of pricing structures, interest rate risk management, and the technical "plumbing" of the secondary mortgage market.
  • A Resilient Leader: You thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments and can guide a team through market volatility with clarity and composure.
  • Analytical Powerhouse: You are an expert in leveraging data (Excel, SQL, Access) to make solid business decisions and identify untapped profit opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 10+ years of mortgage banking experience, specifically within Secondary Marketing.
  • Technical Expertise: Proven experience issuing Fannie, Freddie, and Ginnie securities. Deep familiarity with trading and hedging techniques is highly preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel/Access), SQL, Visual Basic, and secondary marketing risk management systems.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to organize complex workflows to yield maximum efficiency.
