Job Title: Engineering Manager Industry: Healthtech Experience: 8-12+ Years Location: Remote About the Role We are looking for a hands-on and people-focused Engineering Manager to lead high-performing engineering teams, drive technical execution, and ensure scalable delivery of our SaaS platform.This role will bridge business requirements with engineering execution while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.The ideal candidate has strong experience managing engineering teams in SaaS environments, delivering cloud-native products, and working cross-functionally with Product, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.Key Responsibilities 1.

Engineering Delivery & Execution

• Lead end-to-end software development lifecycle for SaaS products and platform initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
• Drive timely delivery of high-quality releases while balancing speed, scalability, and reliability.
• Ensure engineering best practices across coding standards, testing, reviews, and documentation.

2. Team Leadership & People Management

• Manage and mentor engineering teams, fostering growth, accountability, and collaboration.
• Conduct performance reviews, hiring, coaching, and career development initiatives.
• Promote a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate across distributed/global teams effectively.

3. Technical Architecture & Platform Scalability

• Contribute to scalable SaaS architecture, microservices adoption, and API-driven development.
• Support cloud-native infrastructure initiatives across AWS/Azure/GCP environments.
• Work closely with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and automation.
• Drive platform reliability, performance optimization, and system modernization efforts.

4. Operational Excellence

• Track engineering KPIs including sprint velocity, uptime, defect rates, and release cycles.
• Champion Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous delivery practices.
• Ensure platform security, compliance, and quality standards are maintained.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and dependencies proactively.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering with 2-5 years in engineering management roles.
• Strong background in SaaS product development and scalable web applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Good understanding of microservices, distributed systems, APIs, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Experience managing and mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Healthcare SaaS or Healthtech products.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience working with AI/ML-enabled products or data-driven platforms.
